Microbe-Lift/Barley Straw Pellets+ is an environmentally responsible, cost-efficient pond conditioner that is a natural and organic way to a healthy pond environment! Barley straw and selected natural peats have been processed and packaged to make them easy and clean to apply. Manufactured using an exclusive proprietary pelleting process that eliminates the use of wheat, corn and other binders, the barley straw is harvested and stored under climatic conditions that assure the quality of these essential ingredients.

Microbe-Lift/Barley Straw Pellets+ works in much the same way as barley straw...only faster! Whereas barley straw works by releasing certain natural chemicals as it biodegrades, so do the pellets in ML/Barley Straw Pellets+, only the breakdown compounds are released faster: dispersing equally throughout the water; reacting photochemically with sunlight; and activating humic acids to produce hydrogen peroxide—an oxidizing agent that also helps to keep the water clear—naturally and at a low level of release. The humic acid will also chelate metals such as copper or arsenic.

Microbe-Lift/Barley Straw Pellets+ are rich in organic peat which softens pond water–reducing nitrate and phosphate concentrations in the water column–and provides a buffering agent and ion attenuation in lined ponds that additionally gives them some beneficial properties of earthen ponds!

Please note: Microbe-Lift Barley Straw Pellets Plus will leave a residual on the bottom of the pond. The bacteria in the Microbe-Lift products as well as Microbe-Lift/ Sludge Away will digest this organic residual.

Specially formulated to naturally balance pond water and improve clarity. Unlike barley straw, the extract goes to work on contact. The decomposition process starts immediately. Safe for aquatic life, plants and pets. Treats 6,000 gallons per 8 oz.

• Up to 500 gallon pond 1oz first two weeks, 1/2 oz 3rd and 4th week and 3/4 oz every three weeks for maintenance.
• Up to 1000 gallon pond 1.5 oz first two weeks, 3/4 oz 3rd and 4th week and 1.25 oz every three weeks for maintenance.
• Up to 1500 gallon pond 2 oz first two weeks, 1 oz 3rd and 4th week and 1.50 oz every three weeks for maintenance.
• Up to 2000 gallon pond 2.5 oz first two weeks, 1.5 oz 3rd and 4th week and 1.75 oz every three weeks for maintenance.

Above rate schedule based on Clear Water pond. for turbid water, increase dosage by 50%.

Barley Clear is a highly concentrated suspension of natural barley and peat plus natural activators that quickly unleash the power of barley and peat into the water. Phenolic compounds found in the Barley naturally clears the pond. Barley Clear is also helps maintain the natural carbon balance, which stabilizes water quality and maintains clear water

Directions: Add 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of Barley Clear for each 250 U.S. Gal (950 L) of pond water. Pour into water flow for even distribution in the pond. Repeat treatment weekly.
